A Bit of Candy Floss

From Longridge head north to Cockerham then west to Knott End on Sea for the ferry across the River Wyre to Fleetwood. The ferry crosses each way every 30 mins, approx 15 mins and 45 min past the hour in the summer and once per hour in the winter. The current cost is £2.50 with 50p extra for a bicycle and you will need cash! It is also tide and weather dependent so check the Wyre Ferry Facebook page for info on sailings. From Fleetwood join the Promenade for the next few Km south to pass Blackpool Tower and Pleasure Beach. Cyclists are allowed on the Prom' but please be considerate of pedestrians, dog walkers and children. On to Fairhaven Lake near Lytham then head back to Longridge via Kirkham. An editable routesheet and GPS link will be available after entry. Travel in either direction and start at any control or anywhere along the route using GPS or eBrevet.
