Start/finish near downtown, leave the city to explore remote roads north and east of Tallahassee through farmlands and forests of what is known locally as the Red Hills Region. Route contains 30+ miles of clay-dirt roads and many miles under beautiful oak tree canopies. Wider tires recommended. Clay roads are fairy hard packed and mostly well maintained, but surface can be very muddy and difficult for 1-2 days after rain.
