A scenic ramble through the beautiful valleys and ranges between Kapunda and Clare. Visit a couple of 'hidden' churches early in the ride at Hamilton and Peters Hill. Than explore the back-streets of Saddleworth and Manoora. Enjoy the delights of the Watervale cafe'/bakery (general store/post office). Then visit the incredible Martindale Hall at Mintaro. For a small fee you can step back in time, go inside, marvel at how the landed gentry lived in the nineteenth century. So much to see! But don't linger too long. The clock keeps ticking! Some glorious views along Mt Rufus Road and the great avenue of gums as you make your way to a wonderful lookout. Then on to Clare via a small national park. A bit of single track adventure with a few switch-backs on the descent! Enjoy the Reisling, Shiraz and Rattler rail trails on your way back to Riverton. Then off to Marrabel to bid good-day to the famous Curio buck-jumper. A nice roller coaster to Tarnma to visit their cemetry after dark. Don't hang around too long here either. Finally a magic down-hill run on smooth gravel back to Kapunda. With a tail breeze it's a blast! (73% dirt)
