Lithgow – Melbourne RAID

A scenic tour of the western slopes of the Great Dividing Range, and through the rich irrigated flats of the Murray basin around Echuca. Echuca being the home of the paddles steamers! The route tries to avoid the majoor highways, at least to the 874km mark. Then a B grade highway for a while and als some of the Hume Highway. But a very wide sealed verge along that. Very pleasant ending along shared paths through the northern suburbs of Melbourne!Maximum time allowed for a successful RAID is 10 days (based on average of 100km/day over-all) and minimum allowed time is 6 days (200km/day average overall maximum speed.)
