O’Shea's Turtle

A ride that roughly follows the BVRT and some lesser explored roads of the Somerset area. The ride departs Fernvale and follows a mix of sealed and unsealed roads just to the West of the BVRT. At Mount Hallen the course will take you to Esk, before departing the trail again and heading to Toogoolawah via Biarra in the West. Water is available in Toogoolawah (not a CP), before taking a left into Ivory Creek Road and arriving at Harlin for the second CP. Follow the BVRT South back into Toogoolawah, East past the airfield to O'Sheas Crossing and return to Esk for the third CP via Coal Creek.  The remaining 44km is along the BVRT back to Fernvale. There is the option to start this ride at Esk, allowing riders to return to their vehicle for supplies.
