St Lucy's Brevet

Start at any point round the circuit. This ride is the perm' version of the St Lucy's calendar ride which runs on the Saturday nearest to the 13th December.That's St Lucy's Day and was once thought to be the Winter Solstice. Route map on the organiser website (link on the right) >>> It's a simple out and back ride with just one intermediate control. It starts and finishes at Prees Heath (The Raven Cafe opens 7am ) and turns at Dolgellau (Cafe Ty Bwyta Da). There are lots of cafes in between at Llangollen, Corwen and Bala The route is all on quiet A roads and the navigation is very easy. The 'advisory' route is designed to offer the best chance for a safe December 200km but scenic summer variants are easily planned within the simple out and back structure. There's now a winter and summer version, both routes use the same controls, details are in the gpx tracks downloadable at the bottom of the page. The control locations pinned on the map top right, are the exact locations of the E-Brevet controls and your phone app will work within 250m of those pinned locations.
