A route with significant gravel and dirt road portions passing through some highlights of the upper Connecticut River valley and central NH. Recommend riding a gravel bike with 40+ tires and decent tread, or a more aggressive bike if desired. There are several re-route options available (marked with off-route "Information" POIs) for less aggressive terrain - the turnoff points for these are indicated in the cues. Drummond's has limited parking - you may want to call in advance. Starting at other closeby lots marked on the route (Enfield Park & Ride, Lyme Park & Ride) may be advisable during summer months. Recommend timing your ride such that you complete the Alexandria, NH ð Norwich, VT leg of the route during daylight hours. Enjoy the dirt and mud! Note: This route passes through the Green Woodlands trail system around the halfway point. They are only open to cyclists from June ð October (inclusive). Where possible, please avoid riding the route when there is rain forecasted in Dorchester, NH.
