A 433 km Raid From Wangaratta (Vline train) to Ballarat (Vline train). Passes through the historic gold towns and areas of Rushworth, Whroo, Heathcote, bendigo, Chewton, Castlemaine, Maldon, Daylesford, Crewick and Ballarat. Route includes 106 km of good quality gravel roads through the Whoo goldfield, and the O'Keefe Rail Trail from Heathcote to Bendigo, and the Calstlemaine to Maldon Rail Trail. Can be ridden in either direction. Under Raid rules the minimum time for this Raid is 2 days, and maximum 4 days. At an average of about 100 km a day there is ample accommodation in the comfort of towns, or chance to camp out along the way.
