Blackland prairies is a temperate grassland ecoregion in Texas. The soil is characteristically black and is great to grow agriculture. A backroads ride with cows, cotton, wheat, corn, more corn and plenty of stops. Being east of I-35 the route is relatively easy on elevation gain.
