This ride is for the experienced, bold and energetic randonneur. The ride begins and ends at Landsborough. It includes a great deal of climbing, with two very steep climbs (Postman’s Track and the Obi Obi) that are unrideable in the wet due to the inevitability of rear wheel spin. There are also two very steep descents on gravel, one being 6 km long and the other being 2.6 km long. The remainder of the ride is on sealed roads. The gravel sections do not require anything more than ordinary road tyres on an ordinary road bike. Food and water is available at many points along the route during daylight hours, with water also being available after hours at public facilities in Landsborough, Maleny, Montville, Palmwoods and Mooloolah.
