Preston - Whitby - Preston

Mainly a straight out and back ride from Preston to the coast and back. The route uses a lot of A-roads, particularly whilst passing through or close to towns/cities (Preston, Harrogate, York, Whitby). If riders start the ride at Preston in the morning then the chances are they will cover the section from York to Preston on the return at night and there are very few facilities on the A59.
