Hairy's Hundred

Explore pretty Suffolk and Essex lanes with CTC Cambridge on this 161km (100 miles) permanent route, designed by a club member who goes by the pseudonym of Hairy. We start from Cambridge Newmarket Road park and ride site, which has a petrol station just next door. The route could be started at Cambridge North station, which is on the route. Or you could start at Cambridge central station, and ride along Brooklands Avenue and over Lammas Land to pick up the route. Many village shops and cafes en route, notably: Long Melford (52km), Great Bardfield (82km), Thaxted (90km), Elsenham (102km).
