Climb Mt. Diablo and Mt. Hamilton, the two highest peaks in the East Bay. Not recommended during winter, if snow or heavy rain has fallen recently. Check all road conditions first. Bring plenty of food and water as options can be few after the top of Hamilton. Mt. Diablo State Park roads are only open from 8 am to sunset, and cyclists are not allowed to climb the mountain after sunset.
