Goat Track Gambol

Take a gambol on the Goat Track: an easy and traffic free way up Mt Glorious. A gentle descent over the back leads to a flat return via Fernvale, Rosewood and Mutdapilly. There are two sections of dirt road typically well-suited for road bikes, but can be messy after heavy rain. Check https://qldtraffic.qld.gov.au/ and ride accordingly. Route updated February 2025. Controls changed in 2022: Marburg Store is closed, so food is best in Fernvale (90km) or the new Control in Rosewood (117km). Elevation: 2549 m
